FAQ About Muddles.

  • Ski-in, ski-out access is available via the Interceptor Chairlift and North Perisher T-Bar when conditions allow (usually from late June to mid-September, depending on snowfall).

    During low snow periods, our oversnow shuttle service runs morning and afternoon transfers to and from the Front Valley ski area, which is typically the first to open and last to close each season.

  • Upon arrival at Perisher Resort, our complimentary oversnow shuttle service will transfer you from the Perisher SkiTube Station to Muddles Lodge.

    Please book your preferred shuttle time when making your reservation.

    OVERSNOW SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

    • Morning Luggage-Only Times: 8:30am & 9:30am

    • Afternoon Arrival Times: 3:30pm & 4:30pm

    When you arrive at Perisher Resort, your oversnow driver (Celia, Ilyes or Victoria) will greet you outside the northern end of the Perisher SkiTube Station, near the Aldo’s Restaurant exit. Keep a look out for our oversnow vehicles with the Muddles logo.

    GETTING TO MUDDLES OUTSIDE SHUTTLE HOURS

    For arrivals outside our scheduled oversnow shuttle times, guests are required to arrange their own transport via the 4Site Oversnow Taxi service. This service is at your own expense and can be booked by calling (02) 6412 2244 or by visiting the 4Site counter located inside the Perisher Valley Skitube Terminal.

    Please note: our earliest oversnow shuttle departs from Perisher Valley Terminal at 3:30pm.

    As we are in an alpine environment there is no overnight parking in Perisher Valley.

    Late Arrivals

      • Guests are encouraged to arrive between 3pm - 5pm and must pre-book their oversnow shuttle at either 3:30pm or 4:30pm

      • For arrivals outside our shuttle times, guests are required to arrange their own transport via the 4Site Oversnow Taxi service. This service is at your own expense and can be booked by calling (02) 6412 2244 or by visiting the 4Site counter located inside the Perisher SkiTube Station.

      • A meal can be kept warm for guests arriving between 7pm - 8pm

      • Guests arriving after 8pm will not be served a meal, as our kitchen will be closed.

        Unfortunately, we cannot offer booking price reductions for late arrivals and we recommend guests dine on their way to Perisher.

      • Please note that we’re unable to accommodate late-night arrivals in Perisher due to resort access limitations. We recommend planning your travel to arrive during the afternoon oversnow shuttle times.

  • As we are licensed venue, we are unable to offer BYO.

    Our premises is fully licensed and stocked with a wide range of beverages for purchase at competitive prices.

    *A corkage fee will be applied for each bottle brought in by guests.

  • Muddles provides breakfast and dinner for the duration of your stay, and also offers additional light refreshments for purchase.

    There is no BYO or self-catering facilities at the lodge and we do not have any refrigeration or cupboard space for guest use.

    LUNCH

    Lunch can be purchased on the mountain at the various restaurants and food outlets around the resort.

    When the conditions are too harsh to be outside we have our nibbles menu available for purchase.

    SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

    We’re pleased to accommodate most dietary requirements, including vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free meals. At this stage, we’re not able to provide fully vegan options, but we’re always happy to discuss what’s possible.

    • Please advise us of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

    • Unfortunately, late notification or same-day requests cannot be provided due to our remote location.

    • We do our best to accommodate dietary requirements, but please note our kitchen is not allergen-free and cross-contamination may occur. If you have a severe allergy or anaphylaxis, please inform us clearly at the time of booking.

  • Our lodge is toasty and warm with central heating throughout and underfloor heating in some common areas.

  • We highly recommend purchasing your lift passes in advance to ensure you make the most of your stay at Perisher. Not only will this save you time on the first morning of your holiday, but it also gives you access to discounts available online from Perisher.   • Perisher Resort offers a range of snowsports lessons to help you learn and have the best time on the slopes. We highly recommend booking your lesson well in advance, as they do tend to sell out quickly. Bookings can be made easily online at:

  • SKI & SNOWBOARD HIRE

    To make your first day on the slopes as easy as possible, we recommend collecting your rental equipment on the day of your arrival, prior to your Muddles oversnow pick-up.

    Depending on the size of your group, allow roughly one hour before your oversnow shuttle to collect your gear.

    Preferred Rental Providers:

    1. Perisher Snowsports Hire - Perisher Snowsports Hire is our preferred provider, conveniently located in the Perisher Centre, just a short walk across the bridge from the Perisher SkiTube Station.

      Rental gear can be collected between 2:00pm and 5:00pm, the day before your first ski day. This location also allows for easy equipment exchanges throughout your stay.www.perisher.com.au/tickets-passes/rental/snowsports-rental

    2. Rhythm Snowsports -Rhythm Snowsports offers hire services in both Cooma and Smiggins Hole. The Cooma store is a convenient pit-stop on the drive to the snow for all your snowsports items; while their Smiggins Hole location can assist with faulty equipment if needed. www.rhythmsnowsports.com.au

    We always recommend taking ski lessons as a first-timer or a beginner. A lesson with an experienced instructor will teach you the basics of skiing, how to use the lifts safely, choose appropriate terrain, and most importantly, how to have fun!

    By taking a ski lesson, you'll learn the proper techniques and safety measures needed to make your ski trip a successful one.

  • The right gear is essential for a successful snow trip.

    When packing for your snow trip, it is important to remember that you are travelling in an alpine environment. This means that the weather can be unpredictable and can change quickly. Packing a variety of warm clothes is essential for staying comfortable in this climate.

    During you're stay at Muddles it’s unlikely you will need heavy layers of clothing when inside the lodge. Instead, focus on comfort and clothes you'd like to wear for dinner or Après-Ski. Don't forget to include some Ugg boots or slippers too – they will be perfect for relaxing in the lodge!

    Here’s a guide to items you may need or want to pack for when skiing or snowboarding:

    • Thermal Top & Pants (Not cotton as it captures the moisture)
